How do I uninstall http://www.amisites.com permanently when it does not show on the options for browsers?

When I open Firefox it gives me above mentioned browser in stead of google as I have specified it. When I open a new tab it goes to google but not from the start.

I've run all antivirus etc. and changed my browser info countless times. When i follow the instructions it does not show amisites as an option to delete under browser options.

Please, please find an alternative way for this site to be eliminated permanently.

You can check the target line in the Firefox desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties) to make sure nothing is appended after the path to the Firefox program.
