I set up my firefox settings to remember my history for 30 days, but it only remembers for 2-3 days instead.

If I don't visit a particular site for 2-3 days, the URL disappears from my search bar. I know I'm not clearing the history each time I close firefox, because the search bar can still remember sites I've visited the day before.

Here's a screenshot of my settings: http://i37.tinypic.com/r6zq5k.jpg I have the exact same settings on another computer, yet that one doesn't have any problem in remembering my history.

You have set the History to 5 days according to your above posted Troubleshooting Information list. 

browser.history_expire_days 5
browser.history_expire_days.mirror 5

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
