New thunderbird update arrived, then seems same type problem that was maybe months ago?

thunderbird not open too well, or opens straight to settings page? Then noticed from task manager, thunderbird program is running background and must be force closed from task manager.

got this from other forum, server settings when exit program empty trash off also i put off setting above that 

that is off , so not happen when exit program? seems work

but was not needed before, now noticed in two versions
