Hello, I'm Christian. I am still facing issues changing my Thunderbird into an IMAP account, for following reasons: -exporting the existing is OK -creating the IMAP account is OK -Reimporting the messages from previous POP3 account difficult, because: -when using the import fonction, a local folder is being created with a directory three that looks liked the previous Dir structure I had previously. But transfering the folder and files proves difficult, the copy/paste function does not work properly so I can't just click and drag. My thunderbird folder is approx. 20g, could that be the reason? Furthermore, I cannot delete the previous POP3 account or the local folders. Any idea why? I actually do have a thunderbird account (POP3) comprises of 4 differents email addresses, I can delete 3, but not the last one as it appears to be the default one. my personal e-mail is @msn.com; been using it with Thunderbird for years, but lately it asks continually for my password and tells me login (imap/outlook) has failed. It's been getting more frequent and today after multiple attempts, and restarting my computer it still didn't work. I am able to use my password to sign into my msn.com account and see the e-mails using the mozilla browser (or chrome) but can't sign on at Thunderbird. I have another e-mail address in Thunderbird (at my own domain) and there have been no issues with that address. However, if I am looking at my personal/msn e-mails, then go to the other inbox and return to the msn inbox I am usually asked (repeatedly) for the msn password and login fails. The problem started a couple of weeks ago and has grown progressively worse/more frequent. Any ideas on what happened/changed and what I can do?
Should I continue with the above version or somehow install the 128 non-beta version? I've been on the Beta channel for years but some have said it's risky. Your opinion,… (read more)

Hallo, ich habe Windows 11 neu installiert, nun habe ich das Problem, das angeblich mein Mail Passwort nicht stimmt. Ich habe schon alles ausprobiert, die korrekten Passwörter von T-Online eingebeben, die Passwörter geändert, nichts hilft. Ich habe auch schon Thunderbird neu installiert, doch alles ohne Erfolg. Könntet ihr mir bitte weiterhelfen, das ich dieses wundervolle Programm wieder nutzen kann?
Hier noch mein System: i7 6700 K, WIN 11 HOME, GTX 970Grafikkarte, 500 GB SSD, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB Harddisk,

Last night I lost all email and contacts through Thunderbird. Using Thundrebird 128.1.0esr on a MAC OS Sonoma 14.6. Can't use software as it will not work after opening it up. Uploaded image of current status. Let me know how to proceed. Already deleted and reloaded software with same result.
Microsoft are changing the way other apps access mail on Sept 16. Will Tbird still work with thkis?

I needed to migrate my account to another laptop and i was advised to use the the following method: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer.
However, all the emails dated prior to the move, come up blank now, only the headers can be seen.
Server type is POP
I cannot download them from webmail as for majority the previous server was IMAP which is no longer connected.
