After reboot my composition screen is very messed up. For one thing it's missing the "send" button, and the usual instructions (click on "view", then "toolbars", then "composition" do not fix it.

I've restarted Thunderbird and re-rebooted and the problem persists.

Been noticing stuff missing from the search results for a while. Just tested it. It doesn't find stuff in the server Deleted Items folder (and I suspect many others, Sent Items for instance)

if I go to those folders and use Quick Filter, it finds what I am looking for.

I thought this search function was mean to be advanced and 'global'.

Is there something wrong with my installation or is the search known to not cover all folders?

I had to delete an email account and reinstall it due to change of password and server. I completely deleted the email account. Yet when I try to reinstall it, I cannot. I've done all the easy obvious things and a few non-obvious ones too. When I go to "Set Up Your Existing Email Address" it auto-configures fine but as soon as I put in my password it just freezes and never accepts or denies. In fact it doesn't even matter if the password is wrong. I've tried to delete the outgoing server settings. No difference. I love Thunderbird but generally this is a bad area, lots of bugs. If you want to change your password, even regularly for good security, good luck with that. I think this is something that should be improved for security as well as functionalty. Please help.

Hello everyone,

so this happened one day ago: Suddenly all but 10 mails of four years of communication were gone from my Inbox folder. I certainly did not delete them. I did find them though in the TRASH folder. So I moved them back. For some reason, there is a total chaos with the threads (many emails are bundled together though the recipients and subjects have nothing to do with each other. But ok I have my mails back.

BUT right now, all but 30 mails in my SENT folder are gone too, and I cannot find them any where, not even in the trash folder.

What is going on? I lost all communications of four years (have been using Mozilla since the very beginning though, so I do know some trouble shooting) and the mails are simply vanished.

I hope someone can help, I've changed all the settings in Thunderbird for my whole family's emails (hotmail.co.uk, hotmail.com, live.co.uk) from Normal Password to OAuth2. All incoming and outgoing servers are exactly the same as Microsoft advised. None of my accounts work, neither for sending or receiving.

I removed one account and tried to re-add it (that was the advice given if the first method didn't work) but when it tries to check the password, it takes forever. I've tried to manually configure it but it wouldn't download any folders or emails. I removed it and tried to re-add it but have been unable to do even that.

My default account hasn't been able to send more than 25% of emails for a few weeks. I'm up to date with all updates and I've restarted Thunderbird and my laptop countless times.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Hi,

I have 115.12.2 (64bit) Thunderbird installed in to my Windows 11 desktop PC. I have been using Source Sans 3 font as the default message font for at least five yeasr. This font is selected as the default font for composition as well as html style. Unfortunately Source Sans 3 is shown as "not installed" in the font list for about six months. Whenever I reinstall it to Windows 11 everything starts to work perfectly until I restart my PC then Thunderbird starts to show Source Sans 3 as "not installed". I am able to use this font with the Libreoffice. I tried the same procedure with Source Code with identical results. Can someone help me please?

I recently did a system recovery on one of my HP Windows 7 Pro notebooks and afterwards installed Thunderbird 115.12.2 64-bit on it as I have on another identical HP Windows 7 Pro notebook. I had exported the address books from the working notebook and when I imported them into the new system they show up under address and when I star any of the addresses contained in them Thunderbird completes the auto fill. However if I try to get the autofill to work by starting the names of the actual address books Thunderbird doesn't recognize the address books. Also, if I make a new address book and add names to it it will not be recognized with autofill. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I regularly send to the recipients of the address books. Thunderbird v115.12.2 (64 bit) Build 20240621154414 Runing on Windows 10.

We've noticed an odd behaviour with the replied icon to the left of the subject column in the main Inbox display. Sometimes, the icon is present for messages we've replied to. Sometimes it appears and then disappears after another Sync and sometimes, doesn't appear at all for messages we know we've responded to.

Introducing the Status column into the main display does not show different results to the icon. If the flag is missing to the left of the subject column, the status only lists the message as read.

Firstly, has anyone else experienced this on and off behaviour and secondly, what specific feature needs to be present on the server to fully support the replied flag? I'm hoping it's a server issue that we can raise with our provider.

I have a profile that started on a PC and moved to Mac (Sonoma). I now want to put on another Mac from a backup. I have tried linking to the old profile using Profile Information. I click Create A New Profile and highlight the old profile after moving it into the User>Library Profile Folder, but I only get a new profile and not a link to the saved profile. What am I not doing or not doing right.

Also, in the past, there were two items in the Library>Thunderbird folder showing links to the profiles automatically installed when the program was installed. These had to be removed when installing my own existing profile. Those install links are not present. I'm attaching a screenshot of the T-bird folder.

I can enable a column for this in Table View, but I prefer to do this in the Cards View.

I have been getting some spam/phish emails using Display Name Spoofing of some senders I recognize.

In each case the display name is in my personal address book, but the email address of this spam does not match and is different each time. The people being spoofed are aware this is going on but since the spam emails do not originate from their PCs or sometimes not even their ISPs, there isn't any easy fix on their end.

It would be useful to have an inbox filter that would check the personal address book for known display names and made sure the email address matched. Just highlighting a mismatch would be helpful.

Just about every day I need to create a new Thunderbird favorite on the Ubuntu dock. The previously created favorite does launch Thunderbird but another icon appears at the bottom, resulting in two Thunderbird icons in the dock. Is this an indication that I might have a virus or other malware. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you for your time. Thunderbird 115.12.2 (64-bit) Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS
