Check for updates option will download the update

When Using "Help->About Firefox->Check for updates" it will check and then *download* an update if there is one. If it did find one, every time you launch FF, it wants to update. I have to delete the update file to get everything back to normal. All I want to do was CHECK and see what the latest version is, not check AND DOWNLOAD, then install. Perhaps the wording should be changed?
