No Version Of Videodownload Helper Works Anymore

I just purchased a new laptop and I'm running Windows 10 with the Firefox Quantum 61.0.7 browser. I installed the current version of Videodownload Helper 7.3.5 and I am unable to properly download any videos with this set-up. Prior to this I had been using a laptop with Windows XP and an older version of Firefox and Videodownloader and it worked perfectly. Is there anything I can do to make my current system work, or is this just a lost cause because of defects in Mozilla ?

We have seen more reports about issues with the 7.3.5 version Maybe try the 7.3.4 version from the version page.

It has a warning : "Be careful with old versions!"

But the header of the question reads :
