Hello,

My Firefox automatically updated to the latest browser a few days ago, since then i've bene unable to see the right click menu (new tab, save image as) a blank clear box appears instead and the when typing a address in to the search bar it doesn't display anything in the drop down menu. I also can't use drop downs on certain websites.

Have uninstalled it and reinstalled version 37 and everything's gone back to normal and I can right click again. Anyone else have this problem/how can I fix it?

Thanks.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
