I found instructions to disable the browser network assistant page. this does not help as there is no spiget tool bar/options button available.

Basically your browser is not usable as it only allows me to navigate a few sites. Very tired of this.

Try to disable IPv6 (check for other possible causes as well).

network.dns.disableIPv6 is not even listed in order to access to make the change.

That pref should be visible on the about:config page if you type ipv6 in the search bar.

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and you can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue
