For the last two weeks I am unable to log into a specific website (sharks.nhl.com). The username and the password seem to pass through fine (when I give a wrong password I get an error from the website), but the status does not change to logged in.

This problem only exists on my work desktop Linux and only with Firefox. On my macbook/Firefox 30.0 it works fine, on my windows laptop with IE 10 it works fine, on the same Linux with latest Chrome it also works fine.

However it does not work with both Firefox for Ubuntu Canonical and Firefox binary downloaded from mozilla's web site. I cleared cookies and stuff and still there's no progress. The macbook Firefox and the Linux firefox sync through Firefox Sync, so the sets of add-ons are identical.

Oh, if it helps, the problem is ONLY with the sharks.nhl.com site. Other subsites of the NHL (incl. mother site www.nhl.com) accept authentication just fine.
