Until recently all my incoming mails were automatically listed in chronological order. For some reason T'bird has stopped doing this. Now they are all jumbled up, making it nearly impossible to find my most recent mails. I have tried everything in the menu to no avail.

tried clicking on the list heading you perceive is "chronological order", (date usually but it could be order received),

Sorted the reverse to what you like, click it again to reverse the sort order.

BTW this is probably how it got jumbled in the first place. I keep clicking on Subject instead of the first email and sorting the list on Subject.
