In the inbox are 9 new mails. After reading 2 we turned Th. off and again on. 9 mails were very short visible and then deleted. Nothing found is the waste bin.

My blind friend has just started with Thunderbird. 1: After reading 2 mails out of nine there was no indication that the mails were read. All the characters in the subject column stayed bold. 2: We turned off Thunderbird and loaded it again. In the inbox the 9 mails were visible for about 1 or 2 seconds. Then they all disappeared. We checked all the folders but we could not find them again, they were totally deleted. The computer used is a brand new Acer running Windows-10. Internet is supplied by XS4all, including the e-mail Item # 2 is more important than # 1.
