i am running Windows XP Home SP3. i had been using Firefox v4.0. i just didn't want to give it up. i finally decided to upgrade today (05.06.2013). i have been getting 100mb a sec through charter.com for the past year or so.. after i installed Firefox v20.0.1 and rebooted my system... i always reboot after installing new software... my internet connection has been downgraded to 3.5mb a sec. i have been testing it by going to speedtest.net and speedtest.charter.com. ....i called charter around 21:00... we went through the whole process.. powering down everything and unplugging everything... the speed never changed. The guy said that the modem looked good from his end. SO... something has been changed on my system... my system is not talking the way it should be... all the programs i have that access the internet are having the same problem... Please Help...!!!!!!!!!

To get things moving. One idea is It could be your software Firewall and or even antivirus interfering with the new Firefox .exe version as the old one was allowed before.
