previous session won't restore after upgrade to v6

upgraded form v3.x.y to v6 under Windows XP. had to close my firefox windows to do the upgrade. can't get them back. Under History, "restore previous session" is grayed out. "recently closed windows" shows only the firefox start page. recent history is full of pages searched in firefox web site in prep for upgrade.

I have this problem too, but using windows 7.
