Firefox 5 is ruining my life. Firefox 4 was working fine. Is there such a thing as "rolling back firefox"? What is an unresponsive script? Is Firefox 5 a virus?

You may have installed a beta version of Firefox 4, so you were offered Firefox 5. To get off the beta train, you should install the released version of Firefox 4.

First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Backing up your information. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

Next, get the current released version of Firefox 4 from:

http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

and install that over Firefox 5.

Hey Jscher2000, Turned out to be my AVG toolbar. I disabled it as per TonyE's advise, but thank you anyway.
