There are about 25- 30 tabs open on my computer. I have repeatedly closed them with the command close tab. I do this for each one. I have then closed Firefox and also restarted my computer. But when I open a new window on Firefox, the old 25+ tabs reappear. This is slowing down the searches .

This can be a problem with the file sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

Delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
