Firefox closed unexpectedly several times. This has happened at times before so it was not out of the ordinary. Now it says it has started in safe mode (my computer is not in safe mode). I noticed that MultiFox is not listed in the "File" drop down. Multifox and what looks like the rest of my add-ons are listed in "add-ons". The notice for safe mode asked if I wanted to remove add-ons, bookmarks, and 3 or 4 other things. I don't have a clue what to do. Any suggestions?

What icon or shortcut are you using to launch Firefox?
In the Start > All Programs menu there should be two different shortcuts to launch Firefox, one of which would be labeled Firefox (SafeMode) - try using the other shortcut, labeled only Firefox.

Good news and bad news - I found Firefox in Start - But it only has one option - Safe Mode (see image). Its properties are: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode

The Icons I was using to launch Firefox when I got the Safe Mode Warnings were both Not - Safe Mode (I am assuming): http://us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com/dc/launch?.gx=1&.rand=e0din885tvjnd and http://us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com/dc/launch?.gx=1&.rand=7huhfvcor33vt

I opened Firefox with the Start> Mozilla Firefox> Safe Mode and it looks no different than the regular Firefox.

Checked Prog Files x86 - Mozilla. Found Firefox.exe but no Safe Mode. Is it missing or hidden in one of the folders?

I also just now got a Security Warning on a Word doc that Macros and ActiveX have been disabled in this doc. Never had that before - don't have a clue about that either. May not be connected to Firefox but quite a coincidence they happened at the same time.

How do I tell if Firefox is opening in Safe Mode? Where do I find the Safe Mode Icon in Progs. Do I have to reinstall Firefox to get the regular Firefox back into the start menu?

Thanks for the help.

If Firefox opens in Safe-mode then you get a Safe-mode startup window.

You can either create a new Firefox shortcut (right-click the firefox.exe file > Send to Desktop) and drag it in the Start Menu Mozilla Firefox folder or make a copy of the Safe mode item and remove the -safe-mode switch from the target field and remove the (Safe mode) part by renaming the new menu item.
