Mounting failed (corrupt image) downloading firefox 3.6 to mac os x 10.3 operating system. In the past I was able to go to point where it would allow me to drag the Firefox Icon to the application folder but it would not install completely.

The last version that works on OS X 10.3 is Firefox 2.0.0.20 available from http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/mac/en-US/

The above link automatically takes you to one of the download mirrors, but not all of the mirrors have this old version. The above link is the preferred method to download Firefox as it spreads the load across different servers, but if you get an error message when accessing that link, you can get it from here instead - ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/mac/en-US/
