I cannot get Firefox to work. I continue to get the message: unresponsive script js:2309. I've tried disabling everything in safe mode (it does work in safe mode); I've tried deleting the .ini files as per a previous post; I've updated to the most current. Nothing helps. I am so frustrated! Somebody please help.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox

Thank you so much, cor-el! The new profile worked like a charm; not to mention I've noticed Firefox is starting up quite a bit speedier. hmmmm... wonder if they're related? <grin> I didn't realize how much I disliked the Other Browser until I had to use it again. Blessings. Woolythoughts
