Will the EU regulations on sideloading and alternate web stores allow non WebKit builds of Firefox on iOS and iPadOS?

Is there any information on if the new EU regulations on side loading / alternative app stores will allow for non WebKit based browsers on iOS and iPadOS?

I keep hoping a way will pop up to get extensions working on iOS and iPadOS, and it seems being unbound from Apples App store may also bypass the WebKit regulation. Does anyone know more information about this?

Yes, there's a chance for Gecko Firefox as soon as new regulations take place.
