When I open Gmail (or calendar, contacts etc associated with that account) or Amazon, the websites start to load then stop once 95% there and results visible, and start all over again. This happens irrespective of whether cache is cleared or not. Gmail help desk believe it is a cache problem with Firefox so can anyone help please? TIA Unionfan

If clearing the cache does not help, try; Location of the cache/cache2 folder; Windows: *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\ Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/ Linux: ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox/

Close Firefox. Open your file browser to the above and remove the folder.

Thanks FredMcD, I've followed your suggestions but it didn't help. Google Workspace (aka Gmail) still loading twice. Any other thoughts please? Cheers Unionfan

If there is still a problem,

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

While you are in Troubleshoot(Safe) mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
