I have added a company's URL to "Manage Permissions (Exceptions)" and changed the permission to "Blocked" but I still get cookies from that site. What might I be doing wrong - have added various permutations?

You only need the create an exception for the toplevel domain (e.g. mozilla.org) with the correct protocol (https: or http:) to apply the exception to all sub domains (wildcards aren't supported).
