I can no longer turn on my malwarebytes realtime protection. Research is suggesting it is because I no longer have Java Script running. Further research states that the new Firefox dies not support the Java I need

False on Malwarebytes as I have it and using it now and Java is not running. Just Uninstall Malwarebytes and Reinstall with a Fresh Version.

When you reinstall it will find your user information again so no need to look for anything. Find a Alternative :

Also how can a Browser Update break Malwarebytes ? They are not hooked together by anything. It is most likely you were getting definition updates but your Malwarebytes Program had not updated and you got that message it has happened to me several times. Mine is a for life license.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I believe I was clear enough when I said the research I managed was suggesting the problem was lack of Java. I am happy to know that is not the problem. However, you might know that it is very difficult to contact Malwarebytes directly. I have tried for the last week and have not found a means to do it. I am a little leery of uninstalling something I paid a premium for and not know if I can get it back. I am a computer user by necessity, not because I know what I am doing

Yes you can uninstall it. You can also deactivate it and install on another computer and use your keys to activate it on that one then rinse and repeat if so choose to do so.

Actually you do not have to uninstall you can install over top of it self with no problems. I do it all the time as know when program is out and then look at my info and is not the same so over top it goes.

I too, had a lifetime license. Maybe not anymore. Just money, I can buy it again. Looks like they no longer offer lifetime subscriptions. Just more money. Maybe you can help me get back my Samfinds tool bar? Or tell me why Java is not supported? I should have shutdown the computer and taken it to someone that knows something about computers. Again, just money. If I did not need this for my business I would not care. Thanks for the effort.

The JavaScript in Firefox and the Java Plugin from Oracle to two different things as JavaScript was originally going to be called LiveScript. http://kb.mozillazine.org/JavaScript_is_not_Java

Chances are you never used the Java Plugin for anything. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/npapi-plugins

If you mean this extension then the author is no longer support Firefox. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/samfind-bookmarks-bar/

Fine. I accepted earlier that my problem with Malwarebytes was not the lack of Java. I only mentioned it because in trying to get my Malwarebytes protection back that was one of the possible reasons for it not working. I listed all the items I was aware of that no longer work after I downloaded the new Firefox. 1) Malwarebytes. 2) Samfinds toolbar (has disappeared and when I tried t get it back was told that firefox no longer supported this extension. 3) Java. You are most likely right that I never needed Java. I have no way of knowing. I do need Malware and I had sites on my Samfind toolbar that I can not find because I used the toolbar to get to them.
