Suddenly my inbox went blank and I can't even see any of my email accounts

All at once my inbox is blank and only the thunderbird homepage is in the lower pane. I can access my address book but none of my email accounts. I read some of the suggestions in the forum but to no avail. My email accounts are Pop, not iMAP and I checked for read only. Everything seems to be read-only, but as soon as I until the read-only and apply it, it becomes read-only again. I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

If you don't see the standard Windows menu bar, press Alt or F10 to show it.

Click on View: Layout: Folder Pane.

Hi Bruce, Thanks for your suggestion. I don't know exactly what you wanted me to take a screenshot of, so I'll send what my Thunderbird shows when I open it. Since I was in a gmail account last, I am able to download new messages in that account - and I can view my address book - but that's about it

If you just updated Thunderbird, make sure the Lightning addon is good. a) make sure it's at the current release and enabled b) if still a problem, remove the addon and reinstall.
