I went to check my plugins and saw that I needed to update my flash player from 18 but when I went to install the new version and checked to make sure it installed correctly by checking my plugins again it said I needed to update. I went to my plugins section of firefox and noticed that it had installed the latest version but hadn't deleted the old version.

I then downloaded the flash player uninstaller and used it. I restarted my computer to make sure and noticed that it hadn't worked.

Also to note that it's just in firefox plugin. My computer has the updated version.

So anyone know how to uninstall the plugin?

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

You candelete the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox Profile Folder and maybe addons.sqlite as well to reset the plugin registry databases.

See Re-initializing the plugins database:

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Your System Details shows you have no player.

Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Note that the 32 bit Firefox version requires the 32 bit Flash plugin.

Firefox looks at this registry key to find the Flash plugin.

  • HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\MozillaPlugins\<plugin-id>
  • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MozillaPlugins\@adobe.com/FlashPlayer

Only the Shockwave Flash plugin and Silverlight plugins are enabled for 64 bit Firefox versions for Windows. If you need to use other plugins like Java or media players then install the 32 bit Firefox release.

I had to disable it because I was trying to get firefox to read the updated version of flash. It hasn't worked.

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and hardware acceleration in Firefox and try this:
