I've owned a Win 7 Dell laptop since 2010. Firefox has always rendered sites with blue fonts--which are barely visible against certain backgrounds.

I've varied the Options/Content/ settings--letting sites choose fonts, disabling that etc. both ways the font is blue on e.g., www.zerohedge.com On my XP machine they show as black.

Taking a Screen shot; Windows > Start > search box > Snip. Select Snipping Tool.

Save the picture(s) to your desktop. Now look at the Reply box below. Press the button under it that says Browse. Now select the screen shot(s) from the desktop and load them one at a time.

You can check the default colors and also make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : "Override the colors specified by the page with my selections above"

Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.

This setting affects background images.


Note that you should allow pages to choose their own fonts or otherwise you will see little boxes with the hex code if the website uses an icon font to display small images.
