Today I started getting repeated notifications, every 5 to 10 min or so, that my McAfee subscription has expired, my credit card has been rejected, and that my computer is infected. I do not use McAfee, either in Firefox or on my computer. I use the security suite that comes with Windows. I cannot stop these messages from appearing, and disabling notifications from McAfee in the messages does no good, the notifications just keep coming. HOW DO I MAKE THEM GO AWAY? They must be SPAM because I've never had a McAfee product on this machine, EVER. Thank you so much for the help, Dave Templeton

i cant find panel and scroll down to the Forms and Autofill section. and i want to delete the auto fill emails i get popped up when i want to type an email anywhere please help

For a long time I've used Firefox on Linux with multiple instances each with their own profile folder. Today when I try to run these instances with separate profile folders I get the following error:

> Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To use Firefox, you must first close the existing Firefox process, restart your device, or use a different profile.

Profiles are created like this:

firefox --new-instance --createprofile "PROFILENAME ~/.firefox-PROFILENAME"

They are run like this:

firefox --new-instance --profile "~/.firefox-PROFILENAME"

It seems something has broken with the instance isolation as this is now throwing an error. Additionally I run "createprofile" it doesn't seem to actually create the folder.

Hi there! After a short elektricity blackout my PC was rebooted and I lost functionality of shortcuts on Mozilla default home page, turning on or off this shortcuts leads nowhere and just move search bar.

Since the penultimate and now the last current update to version 127.0.2 (64Bit), the button (tile with the + sign) to add new shortcuts is no longer available. How can new shortcuts be added now?

I am using Linux Mint with Firefox 127.0.2 (64-Bit)

In Preferences Applications, setting

 CSV-Dokument      to    open with firefox

opens edless new firefox Tabs - so I had to kill firefox. (setting CSV-Dokument to open with OpenOffice works fine. But this is not what I want.)

In Preferences Applications, I found further CSV types: application/csv-Typ CSV Document (application/text) CSV Document (octet/stream) CSV Document (application/x-download) Which applications should I use for them ?

I found the file "mimeTypes.rdf". However, I am not familiar with the syntax.

NOT to remove personal data? Does it give you an option for personal date not to be removed?? what about all the stored password? Can one of you tell me why all of sudden I get this error COULDN'T LOAD XPCOM? can you send me a link where to reinstall new version on top of the one I have running now Thanks

Hello, when in the library, pressing F6 is meant to "Focus Search Field". This is documented at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly

However, since a recent update this no longer works. Instead, pressing F6 now switches the keyboard focus to the lefthand tree pane. A further press of shift+tab is needed to move to the search box.

My questions are: Has F6 stopped jumping to the library search box for anyone else? If so, was this a deliberate design choice? Does anyone know of an alternate keyboard shortcut to jump to the searchbox? Finally, is there anyway to revert to the old F6 behaviour?

Even if you can only answer the first question that would help, so I can determine whether or not it is just my Firefox. Although I have already tested in a brand new profile with the same results.

about a month ago youtube was only letting me watch videos in 720 or 360, as of about a week ago i only have 360. i've disabled every single extension i have and i have firefox version 127.0.2.

i'm not having this issue in edge, so i assume it's firefox specific. anyone know what's going on or what i can do?

• Firefox 127.0.2 (64 bit), Windows 10, all extensions disabled.
• Tested also with a clean portable version (same Firefox version).

In private mode, on Google Images, large images (in the preview pane: if you click on an image in the search results) are sometimes (but not always) blurry. This is not the case in the "normal", nonprivate mode.

It works fine on Android, and other browsers also work fine. I have had this issue for a very long time now, but only now realized that it's a private-mode issue.

Example, which is reproducible for me: Search "site:linkedin.com new york" on Google Images and pick an image with a sufficiently large resolution.

I am using Windows 11 and FF 127.02. I have read the lag issue with Youtube was suppose to be corrected with FF 127.02 but it is not. I have been using FF for many years now an love it. It is my understanding that it is the ad blockers causing the slow down. Do you have an estimated date when this will be resolved. I have tried every trick included running it in diagnostic mode or trouble shooting mode. Nothing seems to work. Not even a refresh.

Firefox is my favourite browser so I prefer using it in all my online activities. When I go to Adobe Firefly though, I consistently get a warning that this browser is not compatible and they suggest using Chrome, Safari or the latest version of Firefox !!! I am using the latest version available, 127.0.2 but Adobe does not detect it correctly. I have to switch to Chrome, that I'm not very fond of. I saw that a similar issue was posted 10 months ago but it's now archived and I can't even include a link to it here :( So, I hope this comment helps in case others have the same problem. I had to do a new install of Windows 11 and logged back into Firefox and can't find my old bookmarks. I got to this point and don't know how to retrieve old bookmarks:

C:\Windows.old\Users\meljo\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles Please help me.

Im getting this message on my newspaper site. It will not let me open the whole page just one article at a time but only after clicking above message

all of a sudden when I log on to hotmail dot com I get the error message too many requests when I switch browsers to edge I can log on to hotmail as normal

Hi, I've noticed an inconsistency when clicking on Web-based protocol handlers in Firefox on Windows. Specifically, when I click on a mailto protocol, such as "mailto:email@example.com," it directly opens my default email application without any confirmation prompt. However, when I click on any other protocol handler, a confirmation pop-up appears, asking me to confirm which application to use. I have attached an example of what I mean.

Is there a way to configure Firefox to always show a confirmation pop-up for all protocol handlers, including mailto links? I prefer to have the option to choose the application each time rather than automatically using the default one.
