Latest update (127.0.2) erased all my data. Gone are my bookmarks, passwords, sign-in shortcuts, history, etc. and I'm trying not to panic. Most of my passwords are backed up but my bookmarks are gone as is all my sign-in shortcuts, etc.

I always try to keep updated and never have had a problem with anything other than having to relearn a few new things; but this is a first for me.

Whenever I log on to my bank's web site, I'm sent an audible signal that invites me to start a chat session with a bank agent. The problem is that the audible alert is so loud that it startles me. This is very annoying. I called the bank's help line and was told there was no way they could adjust the sound volume. I would like to know if it's possible for Firefox to decrease the volume for that web site.

I have been cleaning up a rather messy and duplicate-filled set of bookmarks on my desktop and have inadvertently deleted a single folder I would very much like to have back. I have that same folder (ten years of photography-related links) on my laptop but do not see a straight forward way to bring it alone over to my desktop. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

hi, all of a sudden today, my files i am saving on my Canva are downloading to zipped files - they were fine and now, zipped . What have I clicked fo make this happen and how can I go back to the way it was please I have tried everything in settings on all sorts of pages and can't see what I have done it was fine earlier so I have done it I suspect can you please talk me through it step by step as I am not too good at following tech instructions from people who know what they are walking about thank you :-)

Prior to ~1 week ago, my process of using Firefox was as follows:

  • Open a new tab, search for something, click through a few links

If I couldn't find anything relevant in the first page of results, I'd navigate back to the Firefox Home Page and try another search. I hate going past the first page of results!

However, as of ~1 week ago, I can no longer navigate to the Firefox Home Page - why is this?

I've been using Firefox for a while and there is one file storage site that is always an issue for me. Downloads work but frequently, it stops near the end of the transfer and shows "failed" in the Library window.

Every time, I can click "resume" and it works but it's extremely annoying. If I don't watch the download carefully, I might miss the "failed" message and then the download link times out. There should be a setting to automatically retry a certain number of times.

I've tried multiple add-ons and none of them work.

I'm having issues with videos loading on ANY webiste, YouTube ect.... This started happening very recently out of the blue. Videos work fine on Edge. Additionally, I cannot run Firefox in troubleshooting mode? It crashes. I tried "refreshing" and reinstalling Firefox to no avail. I am using AdAware AV and AVG anti viruses if it matters, I have tired disabling both and loading FIrefox, no changes.

Problem: Persistent 150 KB of Cached Web Content For several years, I have gone to “Settings” / “Privacy & Security” / “Cookies and Site Data,” clicked the Clear Data…” button, checked both “Cookies and Site Data,” and “Cached Web Content,” and clicked “Clear”, and consistently gotten BOTH “Cookies and Site Data,” and “Cached Web Content” down to “0” zero. Recently, I have been unable to “Cached Web Content” to go below “150 KB of disk space.”

         I have NOTHING listed in “Manage Cookies and Site Data” or “Exceptions -- Cookies and Site Data.”
         I have tried reinstalling, but the problem has persisted.
         On the assumption that this is malware problem, I have continued to use Mozzella VPN, but stopped using the program for browsing, etc.  Should I stop using it altogether until the problem is fixed?
         Can you tell me how to get rid of the last “150 KB” of “Cached Web Content”?
