firefox is making long lines with <pre> tag

It would probably have been more appropriate to ask in the SUMO forum but I thought I would put a question adjacent to the problem post.

I have just answered a question in this forum. I typed the info direct into the input field of the forum, I did not past it in from anywhere else. see

One of the lines of the answer has broken the container, and needs to be scrolled to view it. Just curious as to what is happening. I did notice someone else's post did something similar recently, and was edited by a moderator.
