My firefox doesnt ask to save any passwords ever since i updated to the latest version. It has passwords saved from earlier version, which are working fine. but it doesnt add anymore new passwords. Its not connected with banks and such sites. it doesnt save password of any site and it doesnt even give me an option to save. (i have kept the save password option yes). Another problem is that it plays all videos and youtube without volume whereas my IE works fine for these websites.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

ever since i updated to 3.6.3

User Agent

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/533.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/5.0.375.70 Safari/533.4

Make sure that you not run Firefox in Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode. In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and some features like visited links and others are disabled and not working. You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing". See Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history and http://kb.mozillazine.org/Issues_related_to_Private_Browsing ..... You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History" To see all History settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history UnCheck: [[ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"

I've run Firefox without Private Browsing mode but Firefox still does not play any sound when a video is playing (IE and other web browsers don't have this problem).

This problem started when I updated to version 3.6.9 and now I use v.3.6.10.

Please help me to solve this problem because I'm your fan, I don't want to change my browser.

Thank you very much.

See What to do if Firefox won't play any sounds and Fix common audio and video issues .......... You can click the Volume icon on the Windows Taskbar near the clock and click the Mixer link at the bottom to open the mixer.
You can adjust the volume level for each application in that window, so make sure that Firefox is not muted or set at a low level.
You will only see the Firefox program in the Mixer if you are on a website that plays sound.

I also am having problems with remembering passwords and have now tried the solutions suggested. I did not have private browsing checked or active. Any other solutions?
