This article describes how to download and install Firefox on Windows.
- To update from a previous version of Firefox, see Update Firefox to the latest release.
Before installing Firefox, make sure that your computer meets the System Requirements.
Do not install Firefox using a limited Windows XP account. For more information, see Microsoft's support article How to determine your user account type in Windows.
Note: The download page will automatically give you the 32-bit version of Firefox. If you are running 64-bit Windows 7 or above, you can install the 64-bit version of Firefox, which offers better performance for applications and games but has limited support for plugins (plugins, except of Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight, don't work in 64-bit Firefox). You can download 64-bit Firefox from the Systems & Languages page.

If you need a full, offline installer or if you want to choose the language and operating system, visit the Systems & Languages page.
- Visit this Firefox download page in any browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge.
