Am using Thunderbird 24.5.0. Not having under account settings a account remove option. I tried to remove an e-mail account, but can not delete, or remove it. I read your solution but no removal option under the drop down box in account settings. lease help

How about going to Tools menu > add-ons and disabling the add-on!

Not that I can find a "manually change folders" on the add-on site.

I can find a Manually sort folders which does exactly what it says, but does not add and columns like you show. I can also find "Extra Folder Columns" which is designed to give the headings your referring to. The add-on page shows as the third image a right click or click option to turn the columns on and off.

  • Tools > Account Settings

or

  • right click on mail account name in Folder Pane and select 'Settings'
  • select the account name
  • click on 'Account Actions'
  • select 'Remove Account'
  • click on OK

see image to aid.

Please note that if you have any emails in that account which you want to save then move them into a suitable folder in Local Folders before you remove the account.

you keep posting images of your Thunderbird user interface showing Folder Pane and not Account settings.

Only one image shows the Account Settings - second one on first posting, however, you have not included the full window, so it has cut off the section I need to see which is below the Local Account.

See image:

You are not showing only the Account Settings window, it is cut off at the bottom. For example there is no OK or Cancel button. Perhaps this is what you are seeing as well which explains why you cannot see Account Actions.

Try this:

Open Account Settings window and then minimize Thunderbird, so you can only see the Account Settings window

OR drag the Account Settings window to the side or above.

This is what the full Account Settings window should look like. See image.
