Hi,

This computer is given to me by my uncle. It already have Firefox installed, but its customizations were completely changed (picture at http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x.../44ne.png). So is there any ways to turn it back to normal? I'd tried reinstalled it but it is still the same. Updating doesn't change anything also.

Thank you!

From the screenshot it looks that the Navigation Toolbar items have been moved to the menu bar.

There is probably no need to keep the old profile, so you can use the Profile Manager to remove your uncle's profile including the files to cleanup that data and start with a fresh profile.

If you want to start completely fresh, create a new profile.

A new profile will have your system-installed plugins (e.g., Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions, or other customizations. It also should have completely fresh settings databases and a fresh cache folder.

Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run):

firefox.exe -P

(Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog. )

You'll click the Create Profile button. I recommend using the default location suggested, in other words, don't click the button to choose a folder. Then start Firefox in the new profile you created.

Your uncle's settings will be there in the original profile if needed.
