Previously Firefox was my default browser, however about 10 days ago I downloaded a calculator from the internet and after this I got Bing. I have gone through your help to set up Mozilla as my default browser. It is set up correctly and comes back with a message that Mozilla is set as default browser.

Bing isn't a "browser", it's a search engine. Sounds like Bing was set as your homepage, if the Bing search page appears when you start Firefox. See if you can reset your homepage.
