My Unsorted Bookmarks folder was mistakenly moved to the Tool Bar Menu and when I tried to move it BACK to the sidebar...everything went SOUTH. Now under 'Other Bookmarks' the Unsorted Bookmarks shows as a sub-folder but does not open. I've read 100 ways to find and/or fix this but nothing works. PLEASE...some help ASAP. ALSO I DO have a backup on my in a desktop folder but it didn't IMPORT.

Try using the Library : ctl+shft+o. There is an undo option under Organize but if that doesn't help, you should be able to move the folder back to where it was.

You can also use the menu at the top to restore a previous set of bookmarks. Import and Backup > Restore : select the backup you want.

Note that this likely isn't the actual Other Bookmarks folder as shown under "All Bookmarks", but some other folder with the same name as it isn't possible to move those bookmarks root folders.

In Firefox 96+ you can right-click a bookmark search/query/recent result list and click "Show in Folder" to locate this bookmark in the folder list.
