In my windows 10 task manager, I can access microsoft edge search engine. Why isn't my firefox search engine listed in my windows 10 task manager? I know how to open the firefox task manager from the firefox application menu but sometimes my firefox freezes up on startup and I want to be able to end task it from my windows 1 task manager. Thanks for your help.

Firefox is a web browser. Not a search engine. Firefox uses search engines.

Type about:preferences#search<enter> in the address bar. You can select any search engine to be your default from here.

You can also remove any engine from here.

Hi Fred, Thanks for your reply. However, my question was not answered. Microsoft Edge is also a web browser yet it shows up under Preferences in my microsoft task manager. Firefox does not show up under Preferences. My question is why does Edge show up under Preferences but firefox, also a web browser, does not show up under Preferences?
