I am using an HDMI TO HDMI connection from my computer to my tv. When I try to connect my linux computer to my tv, the desktop appears but when I go to my Firefox browser the browser will not appear on the tv. The tv still displays the desktop image. Whats up??

It is possible it may be expecting another display besides the Tv if the PC was normally hooked up to say two or more screens before.

Look in Display settings or software like ARandR.

When I hook up one of my Linux PC's to another monitor or Tv, sometimes I needed to make sure of what display was active and how the displays were positioned left and right for example.
