I know that in the past I had the option of marking multiple folders as "Junk" folders. I seem to remember this being though an extension, but can't recall which one.

I use this because I use at least four iMAP folders as junk folders. One where my mailer backend (spamassassin) puts all the SPAM, Two where I put all the uncaught SPAM (one of which gets reported back using SPAMassassin report feature). And one where I put several samples of "persistent" SPAM to see if I can write more specific SpamAssassin rules or mailer settings to block/filter those.

I have two issues performing this using the regular Thunderbird setup:

  • When accessing one of the other SPAM folders, thunderbird thinks it needs to run the junk filters on them and everything gets moved around.
  • I want to have all those folders grouped together. When only 1 folder gets marked as spam, tb will lift it up front.
