Since yesterday some tabs in my FF have a yellow exclamation mark next to the page logos. They are those tabs which require a password but not all password protected pages. I have only found out that the marks disappear if I delete the tick with "Protect tab" (tab - right mouse button click) but I would love to know why they are there - what they mean. I believe I did not change any settings. Thanks for your replies :-)

Sounds that this is (was) coming from one of the installed (tab related) extensions.

Did Firefox recently update or did your extensions update?

Hi, thanks for replying. Unfortunately, the mark wasn't orange but black inside a yellow shape of a coat-of-arms. It did not appear in the url box but over the page logo in the title of the tab. It stopped appearing once I restarted FF.
