I attempted to do a silent install of Firefox v22 (on a machine that doesn't have any other version installed) via the switch -ms but the wizard still appeared. The same thing happened when I tried to use a config.ini file via the /INI switch. How do I do a silent install now?

"Firefox Setup Stub 22.0" isn't the full Firefox installation package, That is an online installer which is only 274 KB, where the full installer is 20.8MB (en-US versions)

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/#desktop = stub
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html = full installer package

I don't see those steps working since they still require the -ms switch which doesn't work on v22. Or at least not on the package I downloaded today which is "Firefox Setup Stub 22.0."

I have the same issue. I use a system that pushes the Mozilla updates when and where I want them. In the past (version 18.02 and previous) I've simply put the -ms command in the push and Mozilla has updated automatically on the desktops. Is there an easy way to push silently on later versions? A simple command, as opposed to the other stuff listed?

kcoats,

Are you doing an actual update? Or installing the complete new version of Firefox, as the Owner of this thread was talking about?

If the former, see this - https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Setting_up_an_update_server

I'm updating the version from version 18.02 to version 24. I did notice that when I used the full version (not STUB) the -ms command worked, so I think I'm good. Thanks for the quick response though.
