It happens at any time; when starting the computer or hours later; the computer is one year old, it has not many programs installed, the starter config is rather clean, there is nothing eating the computer resources, the hard disk is defragmented and the only add-on I use is the ad-block plus

You have some plug-ins you are using in Firefox related to NVIDIA 3D Vision -- try disabling those as a test to see if they are causing the problem. From the Firefox menu bar, go to

Tools -> Add-ons -> Plug-ins

and click the disable button next to those plug-ins.

Please check back in with information on whether this solved your problem.

Hello, thanks for the help :)

Sadly, it didnt worked; indeed I had the 3D vision plug-ins, so I disabled them, but it didnt worked; tried to update all plugins and it didnt worked; tried disabling ALL plug-ins, and still it didnt worked.

If you could suggest any other solution, it'd be highly apreciated, thanks :)

EDIT: nevermind, found the problem; it was not one of the plug-ins, but one of the extensions, an add-on for a streaming series page; could find the answer thanks to your answer, so, thanks a lot :)

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
