Problem accessing address book, calendar and tasks on new laptop

more options

I fried my old laptop, purchased a new one and had hard drive contents transferred to new drive. Installed Thunderbird on new laptop and got fastmail up and running on platform. Address book, calendar and tasks have not come across and I don't know how to access files that data is contained in.HELP! please.

How do I set up other email accounts on Thunderbird?

The only one that will be in sync is abook.sqlite. Any others would be additions that would not be recognized with a new install.

You can import the addressbook at tools>import>file . The addressbook is on the old computer at <drive>\users\<yourID>\appdata\roaming\thunderbird\profile\<profilename>\abook.sqlite.

Thanks David. I did a search of sqlite files and a number of them came up. I am unable to view the full file names. Do I import these one by one or can they all be imported at the same time? I just don't want to do something that will take time to fix if it is the wrong action.

Success with address book but not with calendar and tasks. I guess we'll start again :( Thanks for your help.
