I have to do a fresh install of windows 10, as I can't boot. But I do have access to all folders on that drive before I do a fresh install. I don't think I did any backups, as I see no file with that name within profiles.

Can I still transfer my bookmarks to another drive, then put back on after a W10 re-install?

Oh.I posted my answer to you some where else... This should work maybe: Start Button or %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Long answer and more https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

to refresh Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

sorry enter %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ in search and should open the menu to that folder or alternatively into a folder address bar. If having to use Dos it would be c:\users\(NAME GOES HERE)\local\appdata\mozilla\firefox\profiles That will give you your profile folder, type that into Dos then copy *.* to where ever you are going to. ie E: F: G: or copy each file off individually

Please come back and let us know if that resolved your issue or need further help. THanks

You should be able to stick in a restore disk, or install disk or a rescue disk. You can make a rescue disk on anyone's windows 10 computer and burn it to CD/DVD then read how to rescue windows 10 from a rescue disk https://www.howtogeek.com/131907/how-to-create-and-use-a-recovery-drive-or-system-repair-disc-in-windows-8/ or 10 once boot you want the advanced to get to the folder

I have no trouble finding the profiles folder. What do I do with it? I removed the profile that comes with Firefox when first installing it and replaced it with my previous profile folder. Then I hit refresh, but my bookmarks do not show when I re-launch Firefox.

What am I doing wrong?

thanks.
