what is the point of support if no one answers your question? Piss poor customer service if you ask me. Dumping this stuff for something that works and you can actually get help with!

If I understand this correctly, you first posted one hour ago. You said there was a problem on your ANDROID device and you posted under THUNDERBIRD.

The Thunderbird email program does not run on Android so probably you have a question about a program you are using for mail on Android.

Is it the Firefox browser for Android? If not, then it probably is from a different vendor.

Mozilla does not have the resources to have a staffed call center to do free one on one support on phone, chat, or email and for this forum.

Replies from other users that can help you can take anywhere from minutes to hours or longer as this forum is not a form of instant chat.

Also you need to be more clear on what you are doing email on.

You mentioned Thunderbird and Android when there is no version of the Thunderbird email client for the Android OS, only for Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux.. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1111764

Here you mentioned you have a problem with email on Android device which one could assume you mean with a unnamed webmail site in Android version of Firefox browser. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1111762

it does run on my phone and has for years. I have used it for the past 5 years as my email provider.

Great to know this how these forums work!

Hi tpierceall, Thunderbird is a program for reading and composing email. It is not your email service, and Mozilla is not an email provider. Your email provider usually is identified by the domain name on the right side of the @ sign in your email address.

If you look at your mail program on Android, it is most likely named "Mail", not "Thunderbird", based on the error message.

You will need to find a solution to problems with "Mail" on another site that is more specialized in Android or your device. I often use this one: http://forums.androidcentral.com/

Thank you for your response. Not everyone is an expert on these things and you have restored some of my faith that these forums can work. To many jerks that think everyone knows what they do. Thank you again.

Hey everyone please try to remain calm.

I am going to close this thread it is not getting anywhere.

tpierceall Sorry if you do not like this support service.

  • A post by James #answer-848917 tried to explain what we are able to offer. That also cross links your other posts.
  • A post by jscher2000 #answer-848945 tries to clarify the situation regarding email use on phones.

I have not looked at your other threads yet. It does occur to me to ask another question: "'Is there any possibility you are in fact using Firefox on your Android phone and a webmail service." If that is the case and you are still looking for assistance would you please mention that in one of your other questions.

If at the moment you are following this by email, rather than by looking at the forum note this public forum thread is:

We are all only volunteers and I apologise if we don't always succeed in giving as good a service as we would like.

Good luck with finding answers to your problems. John
