firefox promts me to remember my password via a popup, how to turn off?
i do not want firefox to prompt me when i sign on to a place that requires a password, i then have to click the popup to close it,

You can turn off Firefox's password manager feature on the Options page, Security section. Either:
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
- type or paste about:preferences in the address bar and press Enter
In the left column, click Security. Then on the right side, uncheck the box for "Remember logins for sites".
