Safari has and Firefox needs ways to toggle hide/show (both via menu and via shortcuts) Tab Bar, Favorites (bookmarks) Bar, (and Location Bar [which Safari may not have]), so that they are not visible to someone to whom you are showing your screen, nor visible on a simple full-screen shot. Yes, you can outline a screen shot that excludes one or more of these Bars, but it's a nuisance to have to do so, and, anyway, that still leaves the problem of the Bars being visible to others to whom you are showing your screen.

Doesn't the extension allow to hide the toolbars?

On Mac full screen isn't really full screen and doesn't hide the toolbars like on Windows and Linux.

There are extensions to hide specific toolbars if you can't do this via "View > Toolbars"

Full screen does not, even to the slightest degree, solve the problem, since tabs and bookmarks can still be seen.
