I'm loving the new Pocket for Firefox integration :-)

Is there a plan to add an option to save to Pocket using a (preferably customisable) shortcut key? Being able to use SHIFT-CMD-S (like I can in the Safari extension) would often be much quicker than navigating to and clicking the Pocket button. Apologies if this is already on the "todo" list, but I couldn't see any mention of it in the existing FAQs etc.

Best wishes, Steve

PS I'm using the English version of Firefox 38.0.5 on OS-X (possibly the British English version - I can't be sure of the language, as it's not in the About information). Oddly, I don't have the Pocket option in the Bookmark menu described here though, so perhaps something else is wrong: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/save-web-pages-later-pocket-firefox

This is a great idea, however I do not know if it is planned to be implemented. Please also mention this in input.mozilla.org.

I'm also awaiting this feature badly – thanks for requesting it! In the meantime, I use the bookmarklet (https://getpocket.com/add) and add a shortcut through Shortcutkey2url (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/shortcutkey2url/)

Thanks for the tip about Shortcutkey2url as a workaround.

You're welcome. Unfortunately, pocket is not too cool in the keyboard handling. With the suggested plugin you still have to click into the top bar to add tags :-/

Yes, what's that about - a bookmark gadget with no shorcut?! That's like releasing a phone with no touch screen! Oh well, back to the constantly-breaking https://my.xmarks.com/ - I'll just have to open a second account there and hope it doesn't consume 1GB of memory like the last one . . .
