I'm trying to install firefox on a windows 7 laptop and the .exe file won't download. Whenever I click the link it says: failed - network error. I've tried rebooting and downloading form other sites and get similar issues. Any ideas on what's causing this?

Are you trying to download the installer from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/#download-fx ?

This sounds me as network setting (proxy?) issue.

When I clicked the download link (British) it did download the exe and started to install firefox but after what seemed like an age it says the download was interrupted and won't install it. I've tried it twice and it does the same thing. Never had this problem with chrome or opera before.

Are you trying to install a small stub version or the full setup from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

The full setup. The exe file did work at times yesterday but as I said above it kept saying the download was interrupted after it had been downloading for about 20 minutes. I tried again today and the exe file won't open or download again.
