Firefox very slow connecting. AVG virus software giver error message too much memory being used. Suggests close Ff and re-open. Also get error message program being downloaded not analyzed by AVG.

How much is "so much"??

I find it strange that AVG decides to come up with a feature that monitors memory usage, and they still can't get their Site Advisor add-on to work in Firefox without causing excess memory usage. Same holds true for their Link Scanner / Safe Search extension causing problems for Firefox users.

IMO, if you aren't having a problem with Firefox, disable that "memory monitor". And if you are having a problem with Firefox, disable the Site Advisor & Safe Search and see if that solves that "memory problem".
