When I try to update an add on, it will not install and run. Firefox also crashes. I get error messages cant find Java 1.6.0.23 and in the error report "Chrome is not compatible" What am I supposed to do? I have Firefox 5.0

You can uninstall and remove Java Console extensions, you do not need them to run Java applets.

No, this does not help. When I open tools it is on add ons, and crashes before I can click on extensions. Error report says Registry Key HKEY_Local\Machine\SOFTWARE\Java Runtime Environment\1.6.0_2.3 not found. I have now uninstalled Java from add\remove\programs.

There are also error reports about Chrome
